Karen Fedri
Karen Fedri is an important influence in the Dallas art community, having served as Director for the city's most prestigious galleries as well as running her own art consulting and appraisal firm, Fedri Fine Art LLC. Now as Regional Consultant for Art Peritus LLC, Ms. Fedri is dovetailing her art expertise together with account experience from her early years at Christies Inc in New York City.

Ms. Fedri's career began in New York City at International Creative Management Artists Inc., and the Whitney Museum of American Art. However, her commercial art industry aspirations led to a position at Christie’s Inc in the European Furniture and Decorative Arts Department in the summer of 2000. While at Christie’s she assisted with the production of both English and Continental furniture and decorative arts sales, as well as developing the new “Interiors” department in 2003. Family obligations found Ms. Fedri relocating to Dallas, Texas where she quickly moved on as a Consignment Director for Heritage Galleries and Auctioneers. Ms. Fedri helped build the company’s first Fine Art and Decorative Arts department, in which its inaugural auction generated over $2.8 million in sales of American and European art glass, American and Continental silver and porcelain, and American and European paintings spanning several centuries and genres.

From early 2005 through the end of 2008, Ms. Fedri worked for Gerald Peters Gallery, one of the most highly regarded galleries of American art in the nation, where she cultivated artist and collector relationships, managed day-to-day gallery operations, and had cumulative sales in the millions of dollars worth of art. Her work at the gallery regularly brought her in contact with top collectors of American blue chip modern, western, and contemporary art.

Upon the creation of Fedri Fine Art, Ms. Fedri became a USPAP qualified appraiser specializing in European and American fine art from late 19th century to present day, as well as art glass, and American silver. She is a member of the International Society of Appraisers and holds a B.A. in Art History with Latin honors and departmental high distinction from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Ms. Fedri is a graduate member of the North Texas Business for Culture and the Arts’ Leadership Arts Program 2008. She is a founding board member of Gentileschi Aegis Gallery Association, a founding member of the Dallas Center for Performing Arts’ Marquee Circle, and an active member of the Lee Park Junior Conservancy, Dallas.
