Marley Rabstenek
Marley Rabstenek has over 15 years experience in the field of Asian works of art. She is an independent dealer and consultant appraiser specializing in Chinese, Korean and Japanese works of Art. Marley Rabstenek Asian Works of Art, Inc. was founded in 2002, a company which focuses on the buying and selling of high quality Chinese, Japanese and Korean items. She is a regular exhibitor at the Arts of Pacific Asia Show in New York. Ms. Rabstenek is also a consultant for Doyle New York, in charge of assembling two Asian sales a year. Through her own company and in conjunction with Doyle, Ms. Rabstenek regularly works on insurance and estate appraisals. She also serves on the vetting committee’s for the Winter Antiques Show and the Arts of Pacific Asia Show, both in New York.

Between 1999 and 2001 Ms. Rabstenek was a Senior Specialist in the Chinese Department at Christie’s Rockefeller Center and was director of the Asian Works of Art Department at Christie’s East. Prior to Christie’s, Ms. Rabstenek was the Director of the Asian Departments of Phillips International Auctioneers in New York from 1997 to 1999 and Skinner, Inc in Boston, Massachusetts from 1994 to 1997.

Ms. Rabstenek received a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Mount Holyoke College in 1987. She then went on to pursue her Masters in Irish Studies at the Queen’s University in Belfast Northern Ireland. In 1992, Ms. Rabstenek received a post-graduate certificate in the Asian Arts Course at Sotheby’s Institute/School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London. In 1993, Ms. Rabstenek received a post-graduate certificate from Sotheby’s Institute in Works of Art.
