Sarah Kirk Hanley
Sarah Kirk Hanley is an independent curator and specialist in prints. Her knowledge of Western prints spans the Northern European Renaissance to the present.

Ms. Hanley has held a wide variety of positions within the field. Most recently, she was a specialist in Christie’s New York Print Department for over two years, where she was involved in business getting, catalogue preparation and research, as well as insurance, gift tax and estate appraisals. Before moving to New York, Ms. Hanley was Associate Curator and head of the Prints, Drawings, and Photographs department at the Milwaukee Art Museum, where she worked for nearly five years. There, she contributed to the exhibition and catalogue for "German Expressionist Prints: The Marcia and Granvil Specks Collection," and curated several exhibitions ranging from "The Incisive Imagination: Jacques Callot and His Contemporaries" to "Clarity of Vision: Minimalist Prints and Drawings." She has also held positions at the Lower East Side Printshop in New York and the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Wisconsin.

Ms. Hanley holds an M.A. in Museum Education from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and a B.F.A. in Printmaking and Art History from the University of Iowa with Distinction/Special Honors. She completed her graduate internship at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
