Warren Winegar
Warren S. Winegar has more than fifteen years of experience across all realms of the art world, bringing a well-balanced view of its complexities to his clients. As an expert whose specializes as a 20th Century Generalist, Warren's depth and breadth of knowledge is vast and varied across the major artists and movements of Western art. He has also developed knowledge of contemporary art from Asia with an emphasis on artists in China, Japan and Korea.

Warren has spent years in the auction world, honing his expertise in the psychology of auctions and regularly bids on behalf of his clients. Prior to founding Winegar Fine Art, Warren was the Head of Client Services at Sotheby's New York. With this formal training in the world's premier auction house organizing, attending and bidding in hundreds of auctions, he thoroughly understands this complex and often emotional area of the art world.

Winegar Fine Art offers a discrete and bespoke service to a diverse group of individuals, museums and corporations for both acquisition and sales of fine art and objects. His approach to artists and objects always considers the long-term investment value of this unique asset class. With a focus on education and appreciation honed while Associate Director of Sotheby's Institute of Art in London and New York, his lens takes a global view of the current arena of auctions, art fairs and private sales. Well-developed networks enable him to lead clients to the best possible sources of sought after works and assure the best opportunities for his clients and their portfolios.

Warren is a contributor to Private Asset Management Magazine on art and alternative assets. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Investment Management Institute in Greenwich, CT. He is also a Trustee of First Hope, an organization that provides aid and education to orphans in Nepal. He is a past member of the Advisory Council for the Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia and the Art Table Scholarship Awards.

Warren has two graduate level qualifications with a Masters in Art History from Brigham Young University and in Fine & Decorative Art from Sotheby's Institute of Art - London.
