As we approach Thanksgiving, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to our clients for their trust, loyalty, and continued support. In a year marked by fluctuations in both the art market and the broader economy, your belief in our vision has been a source of strength and inspiration. While the art world has seen shifts in collector behavior and evolving market trends, your engagement with us reminds us of the enduring power of creativity and human connection. Amid economic uncertainties, art remains a vital way to express, invest, and inspire.
This month’s blog is a heartfelt message from each Art Peritus team member in thanks to you—our clients, partners, colleagues and friends. Through our own words, we hope to share the joys and rewards of working in the art world, and why we are so thankful to be doing what we love!
Jennifer Garland Ross, AAA, Founder
I’m beyond thankful for the rockstar team I get to work with every day—your talent, dedication, and ability to put up with my wild ideas never cease to amaze me. You all keep this ship sailing smoothly, and for that, I’m forever grateful. Huge thanks also to our incredible clients, who continue to trust us with their treasures—you’re the reason we get to do what we love. And, of course, a shout-out to my family, who keep me grounded when I start floating off into art-world la-la land.
On a personal note, I’m grateful to be the proud owner of a new beautiful home in New York City that lets me live my double life—hopping between London, Paris, and New York like a (very cultured) jetsetter. Traveling isn’t just for fun—it fuels my passions and keeps our art business evolving in exciting ways. It turns out, seeing the world is the best inspiration for both work and play!
Rebecca “Becky” Ross, CPA, Director of Finance & Operations
I’m so thankful for the love of family, friends, and my playful furry companions, for the creativity sparked by impressionist art, and for the joyful energy of 80s pop music that never fails to get me on my feet and dancing. I feel fortunate to have my health, always having food on my table, and a warm, comfortable home to return to each day. I’m also incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work at Art Peritus, applying what I’ve learned over the past 25 years to this amazing company my sister built from the ground up, and for the incredible team of people I get to work with each day. This season of gratitude is a reminder of how blessed I am in so many ways!
Sharikay Sloboda, PHR, Director of Business Development
I have enormous gratitude for the opportunity to work in such a creative and dynamic environment! Throughout my career, I have always loved working at the intersection of art and business. Access to impressive and interesting collections, and engaging with diverse, well-informed, interesting people I get to learn from, help, and collaborate with daily, is a true privilege that isn’t taken for granted.
Sean Hsueh, Senior Software Engineer
I am incredibly grateful to work at Art Peritus, where I get to pursue my passion for developing software. Every day, I have the opportunity to work alongside a talented and supportive team, which makes the experience even more fulfilling. Together, we create innovative solutions that enhance the lives of our clients by providing them with certified appraisals that they can trust. It’s rewarding to be part of a company that values truth and quality, knowing that the work we do helps others make informed decisions. I truly appreciate being part of this amazing journey!
Jennifer “Jenny” Brown, Account Manager
I am grateful that I get to work in an industry that I am passionate about. The beauty of this industry is that you are constantly learning and evolving professionally. I am thankful that I get to work with the best and brightest specialists in the world, alongside a team that inspires me to the best version of myself and makes me feel valued on a daily basis. Simply put, I am thankful for just feeling happy and fulfilled.
Elizabeth Staggs, Executive & Marketing Associate
I’m so grateful to be here. Finding Art Peritus when I did was such a blessing. I’ve learned so much from everyone here, I get to use so many of the skills that had been undervalued everywhere else. I’ve been working with Art Peritus for almost two years, and that alone is something to be grateful for.
Noelle E. DeSantis, Consultant, Marketing & Research
I am beyond grateful to my dear friend and grad school classmate, Jennifer Ross for bringing me on as a consultant where I not only work with the nicest group of colleagues, but I also get to do one of my favorite things—research and write about art. I’m lucky enough to get to create the monthly newsletters, research and write our social media content, as well as write or oversee many of the monthly blogs. I’m also grateful to my colleague, Elizabeth Staggs, whose creative eye and keen knowledge of social media platforms, brings our newsletter and online content to life.
