March is Women’s History Month—a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women across all fields, including the art world. |
|
| There are many nuances appraisers must consider when conducting a market analysis for appraisal purposes. If you work in the industry, don’t miss Jennifer Garland Ross, AAA’s upcoming webinar with the Appraisal Association of America. Joined by fine art specialist Reagan Upshaw, the discussion will highlight the importance of provable, USPAP-compliant market analyses that are clear to readers—including the IRS, attorneys, and insurance adjusters—and, more importantly, can withstand scrutiny in a court of law if necessary.
Beyond Expertise: Writing Market Analyses That Stand Up to Scrutiny, Tuesday 25 March, 1-2 PM held virtually. |

When Bliss passed away, she left a significant portion of her art collection to the museum—works still on view today, as well as other pieces that were sold to help fund the acquisition of Vincent van Gogh’s masterpiece, “Starry Night.”
