| | It’s a Pop Kind of Summer |
Summer invites a lighter touch, and in this edition of our seasonal newsletter, we’re embracing the playful spirit of Pop Art and the nostalgia that surrounds the season itself. Bold color, sun-soaked imagery, and everyday pleasures come alive through works that transform the familiar into the iconic.
“A Nation of Artists” arrives as a landmark exhibition in Philadelphia this summer, marking the nation’s 250th anniversary with rare ambition and scope. Jointly presented by the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, this not-to-be-missed exhibition brings together more than 1,000 works spanning three centuries of American Art.

| | ABOUT TOWNIn Homage to Ian Curtis
| For those who lived through the post-punk music scene of the late 1970s and early 1980s, Ian Curtis remains a defining pioneer of goth and alternative rock. As the lead vocalist and lyricist of Joy Division, he shaped the landmark albums Unknown Pleasures (1979) and Closer (1980), whose stark emotional intensity continues to resonate. Curtis lived with severe epilepsy and depression and took his own life in 1980; the remaining members of the band went on to form New Order. His influence echoes through subsequent decades in artists such as The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, Interpol, and The Killers, while his legacy is further preserved through archival materials that will be on view this summer at Voltz Clarke Gallery, New York, in collaboration with the University of Manchester, UK, who is the steward of the Curtis’ archives.

An Object Has Several Values? |
It may sound counterintuitive, but a single object can carry multiple values—all of them correct. The difference lies in the question being asked. In the world of collecting, value isn’t fixed; it shifts with purpose, context, and use. For collectors and the professionals who advise them, understanding this distinction isn’t just helpful, it’s essential. Discover how the right question leads to the right value in Jennifer Garland Ross, AAA’s insightful video.
